Spring 2013!

Though New Years was fourteen days ago, I really feel like my year is starting right now- at the beginning of the Spring 2013 semester. This is going to be a big year for me- I graduate college in December, I publish my first novel here soon, and I will be hard at work compiling the second installment of the planned series all summer.

I’m taking a brief haitus from actual writing due to beginning serious work on my Honors Thesis this semester. I need to know I can fully graduate before I put all my energy into ‘To Dwell in Dreams’! I think this also gives me more emotional and mental time to really focus on each and every edit ‘Till the Last Petal Falls goes through, and allow me to give myself the room I need to roll her out with the best possible enthusiasm.

I also think I’m going to be switching over from putting my work up on an internet database to store my chapters to Schrivener (probably spelled that wrong), so I will be taking some time re-uploading my work into those files and tranferring them to flash drives and what not to keep everything ridiculously organized. Gotta get the clutter before it gathers!

And considering that that’s just the mess that I have to deal with on the fiction writing side, and doesn’t even really factor in my poetry or my extracurricular work at the office, newspaper, and Church… oh, man, am I in for one heck of a semester. I’m going to try to keep up with updates, however! If you ever feel like I’m being too silent, don’t be afraid to give me a little nudge- I’m always up to talk about my writing!

Hope everyone else is having a good start to their years/semesters/writing cycles as well! Here’s to 2013!
